1,500 United MileagePlus Miles w/ Bose Headphones.

At first glance, this sounds like a great deal. I want 1,500 United miles and I want the famous noise reduction Bose headphones. I want it all, I guess. But there’s a catch, of course. I’m not big time baller, so the $299 that is costs for the super cool Bose Headphones isn’t feasible for this Noob, especially since I just splurged on an Ipad (love it).

Don’t get me wrong, I would love to block out the crying babies and all the general sounds of an aircraft, but even with the $25 monthly payment plan, I’ll have to pass. I will still be sporting the normal white iphone/ipod headphones. They are crappy, yes, but somehow I have about 30 of them laying around the house.

If you were to buy the Bose headphones with a Chase Sapphire Preferred or United Explorer card, plus the 1,500 bonus United miles, you would be at roughly 1,800 UR or United miles for the $300 super cool Bose headphones.

Only you can decide if this if right for you. I’ll have to keep hearing crying babies.

    How would you get 3k miles for a $300 purchase by using the CSP or UE card? Normally it would be 300 miles, not 3k.

    I read from DAN that any dining purchase of less than $5 to $10 is better paid with freedom than with chase SP becos of 10% bonus and 10 bonus points for chase freedom and checking linked.
    I don’t know how this chase freedom 10 bonus and 10% bonus points in addition regular 1x to 5x bonus cash back you earn works.
    Please write a detail post on how we can best take advantage of chase freedom points. please
