Munch on these Miles. Noobilicious.

In todays world, everybody eats out right? I definitely do, and more than I should. Every week and sometimes every day, I’m spending my hard earned money at restaurants. And every time, I’m receiving hopefully great food and great service for my money. But how can I maximize my spend even more?

The first way is by using a rewards CARD to earn points on my spend. My Chase Sapphire card gest me 2 points per $1 on all dining. I’ll take it.

The second way is by enrolling that credit card in a dining rewards PROGRAM. You can only enroll in one program per card. I tried.

Now for every dollar you spend at a restaurant, you are getting food, service, reward points tied to your card, and rewards points tied to your dining program! Cha Ching. For example: There is a bar restaurant downtown called J. Blacks that I already go to often. Since I received my Chase Sapphire I have been earning 2 points per dollar on meals, so on a $40 drink and meal ticket, I’m getting 80 Chase Ultimate Rewards points. Not bad. But since I enrolled my Chase Sapphire in the AAdvantage dining program, I received an extra 5 AAdvantage miles per $1, equalling 200 AA miles! For $40, I hauled in:

  • great dinner and drinks with the wife
  • 80 Chase Ultimate Rewards points
  • 200 AAdvantage miles

You will have to see which restaurants are in the program, but I was pleasantly surprised to see many that I already frequented are on the list.

Also, many of these programs have sign-up bonuses as well. Need I say more?

United MileagePlus 1,000 sign-up bonus

AAdvantage  1,000 sign-up bonus

US Dividends 1,000 sign-up bonus

SkyMiles 1,200 sign-up bonus

This is a great way to earn even more miles for doing something that you already do. The value is off the chain when you rake in miles for things that are already in your daily routine. I think we all agree that credit card sign up bonuses are the easiest ways to earn miles, but to really be a miles baller, you need to make earning miles a lifestyle.

p.s. I am now the guy who picks up the tab. Let me earn the miles.

Grubbing for POINTS

Yummy, miles.

My personal email has been blowing UP with emails from all my dining (AAdvantage, US Dividends, MilePass) programs today. So the subject is top of mind.
