Chicago Seminars: Are you geeky enough to go?

I am…so I won’t be judging if you’re there.

The Chicago Seminars are an annual event started by Rick Ingersoll (Frugal Travel Guy) for rewards travel junkies to connect, learn from experts, and realize that they aren’t alone in this wild hobby way of life.

Jordan and I set up a booth last year (will this year too), and really enjoyed meeting new people and putting faces to forum handles and emails.

We did a giveaway each day for a bag filled with local Austin products. We’re proud Austinites – if you haven’t picked up on yet. There will be more giveaways this year and charity raffles.

There will also be sessions to fulfill all travelers’ needs and desires…newbies, veterans, whoever. If you’re a new miles geek, then going to a conference is a great way to make you feel like you’re not alone in this crazy addicting world of rewards travel. There are others, many others. Plus, you get to pick the minds of some very experienced travelers and become jealous of their adventures.

The Chicago Seminars are scheduled from Friday, October 11th to Saturday, October 13th at the Holiday Inn, Elk Grove Village. Register here. Tickets are non-refundable.

This event will sell out before October, so plan accordingly.

I’m happy to be a part of the Chicago Seminars this year as a sponsor and hopefully I’ll see you there!

I’m pretty new to the Miles and Points life, but I’m looking forward to attending in Chicago. It would be nice to meet you. I’ve learned a lot from your posts.
