In honor of their fall “New Possibilities” promotion, Hyatt is giving away 50,000 Gold Passport points to Noobtraveler readers!
That’s right! You all know that Hyatt is my hotel chain of choice, so I’m pumped about the opportunity to give away some Hyatt Gold Passport points.
Here’s how it will go down. I will randomly select 4 winners. Each winner will receive either 5,000, 10,000, 15,000, or 20,000 points. Spreading around the wealth, so there are more winners.
Here are the details of the contest:
- The 4 winners will be randomly selected via random.org, and announced on Tuesday, August 27, 2013.
- To enter just leave a comment below (by eod Monday 26, 2013) with the Hyatt property you’re stuck day dreaming about. Easy. I’m dreaming about the new Andaz Maui property.
- You will be entered twice if you tweet @noobtraveler and @hyattpr about your dream Hyatt destination with the #HyattNoob tag.
Hyatt Gold Passport points are extremely valuable, and one of the few ways I will use my Ultimate Rewards points. You can do a lot with 5,000, 10,000, 15,000, or 20,0000 points.
5,000 points may not sound like much, but it’s enough for a standard room at a category 1 hotel, or you can upgrade your room to club level (on eligible stays). You’re even just 1,000 short of being able to upgrade to a suite. Boom. See the Hyatt upgrade chart below:
10,000 Gold Passport points is enough for a stay at a category 2 in a Regency/Grand Club room. Not too bad. But I would save those points for a higher category hotel.
Now, 15,000 points can get you a stay in a category 4 property. Jordan and I had a great stay at the Hyatt Andaz W Hollywood property. And it was a steal for only 15,000 points a night. The Andaz Savannah is a category 4 property as well, and Jordan’s been asking to go to Savannah, so I think I need to make that happen. Any excuse to go to an Andaz.
If you win the 20,000 then you have my envy. For only 2,000 more points you can book a night at the Park Hyatt Vendome, Andaz 5th Avenue, or the newest Andaz in Maui.
I’ve stayed at both the Andaz 5th Avenue and the Vendome (where I will returning in a couple weeks), and can’t wait to try out the Andaz in Maui. I’m thinking wedding anniversary.
Anyway, please enter the contest. You have nothing to lose, and there will be four winners, so best of luck!
