Noob-Minder: Southwest Airlines Sale Ends Today!

If you haven’t heard, there is a 3 day Southwest Airlines Fall Travel Super Sale. You must book your ticket by JUNE 14th and travel between 8/13–11/14. This is a good opportunity to find a cheap rate.

The rates are $49, $99, and $139 one way tickets, and are based on distance. But since Southwest Rapid Rewards program is a revenue based program, award tickets can be found for a cheaper rate too. Holla at ya boy. However, if you can find a low $$$ rate, then I would probably take it and save your Rapid Rewards points for another time. But that’s just me.

Some T&C’s

  • Fares available only on southwest.com or swabiz.com
  • 14-day advance purchase required. Purchase from June 12 through June 14, 2012, 11:59 pm Pacific Time.
  • Travel August 13 through November 14, 2012.
  • Blackout Dates Apply: August 18, August 30, September 3, and September 4, 2012.
  • Travel valid every day except Fridays & Sundays.
  • Fares are non-refundable. If you cancel a cash ticket, you will be refunded a Southwest credit. Any award reservations will have the miles deposited back into their account.
It’s a bummer that the discounted fares aren’t available on Fridays and Sundays. I’m thinking maybe a Thursday through Monday trip….hmmm, just gotta think of where to go now.
