In case you missed them – here are a couple rewards happenings from last week.
Hyatt’s “Chase the Possibilities” Contest
(this is a targeted game, so you may not be eligible to play)
Hyatt has launched a game called “Chase the Possibilities” to coincide with their “New Possibilities” fall promotion. Chase the Possibilities is an interactive game where you follow 3 trunks (your prizes) around the globe with examples on how you can use and earn Hyatt Gold Passport points.
The game took a little too long for me, but when I finally got to the end – I was presented with 3 prize options.
I chose to to be entered to win 5 nights at any Hyatt worldwide. That’s my style. Clicking a prize will automatically register you for the New Possibilities fall promotion, but that doesn’t cost you anything.
Activate Chase Freedom for Q4 5x Categories
You can now activate your Chase Freedom® for the Quarter 4 5x category bonuses. I received a text message reminding me, which I love.
And after responding to the text message, I was hit with this confirmation email:
Good times. Quarter 4 runs from October 1 – Decemeber 31, 2013. The 5x Q4 categories are Amazon, and select department stores. Maximizing the quarterly Freedom 5x category bonuses is a huge part my spending strategy, and gives me a nice injection of much needed Ultimate Rewards points every month.
This is just a quick reminder. I’ll be writing in more detail about the Q4 categories later. Click here to activate your Freedom for the Q4 5x categories.
50,000 Southwest Rapid Rewards is Back
The 50,000 offer on the Southwest Rapid Rewards cards is back. If you’re needing some Rapid Rewards points before the end of the year for the Companion Pass, then this offer came just in time. If you don’t have the Companion Pass, it’s in your best interest to wait until mid – late October to apply, so you can finish meeting your minimum spending requirement in January. That way you will have the Companion Pass for two years. Of course, there’s no guarantee that the points will count towards the Companion Pass next year.
Lounge Club Adds New Lounges
The PointsGuy shared that the Lounge Club has added 12 more lounges. This is great news for those of us who hold the Ink Bold® Business Card & Ink Plus® Business Card (doesn’t everyone?). One of the benefits of the Ink cards is that you receive 2 free lounge passes annually to the Lounge Club. Perkilicious. Just another reason why the Ink cards rock.
To get your two free Lounge Club passes with your Ink card, call the number on the back of each card and ask for an enrollment code – then go to Lounge Club enrollment site and follow the steps. Once you have your Lounge Club card, you can present at the lounges to receive your two free visits. Saucy.
