Southwest Rapid Rewards Visa is Back, Again.

Last night, I was bombarded with tweets, emails, and chats letting me know that the 50k Southwest card is back. A big thanks to all the Noob readers who let me know. I appreciate it!

The annual fees aren’t waived on any version of the Southwest Card. Bummer. This time around, there is also a $1,000 spend to meet in 3 months. Not too bad.

The Southwest card is great for domestic travel, and the SW companion pass is one of the best deals out there. I have written extensively on this card before, and will do another post soon.

Enjoy.

Can spouses apply for two separate cards in order to receive 100,000 points?

Hello, Yes. You can “personally” apply for two versions of the SW card! I would apply for one personal and one business SW card. If you are going for two personal SW cards – I would space out your Chase apps 90-95 days.

I always suggest your spouse applying for the same cards as you. But the SW points will be different accounts, however you can both use each other points.

If you are going to throw yourself an app party and apply for two Chase cards- I would seriously think about adding an Amex (Delta, or SPG) and a Citi (the the Hilton HHonors) card into the mix. You find all the best rewards cards on my sick dealspage. I hope this helps and don’t hesitate to email or comment if you have
      any more questions.
