SPG Redeem & Reward. The New R&R?
I know a lot of you got in on the Starwood Preferred Guest® Credit Card when the sign-up bonus was 30,000 points. A big congrats to you, and here’s a new SPG promo for those looking to burn those Starpoints.
With the Redeem & Reward promotion, you can get a 30%, 40%, or 50% refund on 21 different Starwood resorts! I like refunds! Gimmme. The Phoenician Scottsdale is very intriguing to me. It’s a category 5 Starwood resort and free night awards are usually 12,000-16,000 Starpoints. And you will get a 50% refund by registering for this promo, so yeah- only 6,000 to 8,000 points a night. Plus, if you book 4 free night awards, the 5th night is free! Balling, indeed. For 5 days, you would only be out 24,000-32,000 Starpoints.
I personally like to use my SPG points on cash & points stays, but there’s opportunity here to save some uber valuable SPG points if used correctly. You must register by Nov. 30th and redeem your Starpoints for this promo by December 20. Refunds aren’t good on cash & points stays. Bumma.
You have to have enough points to book the award stay before the refund. Once you complete your stay, you will be refunded the 30%, 40%, or 50% in 4-6 weeks.
If you have a planned Starwood stay coming up, then you should definitely check out the resorts below and see if you can find some savings. If you can find availability at one of these properties for a price you’re good with, pull that trigger!
